The Interprofessional Student Run Clinic at East Carolina University offers physical and occupational therapy services to those who are uninsured or underinsured in Eastern North Carolina. What services are offered?

We provide occupational therapy and physical therapy services.

Who is eligible to receive services?

Our clinic serves individuals who are uninsured or underinsured. Services are provided at no cost; we do not bill for treatment. We currently only offer services for patients 18+.

Who is providing the therapy?

This is a student-run clinic designed to provide hands-on learning opportunities for our students. You will receive care from occupational therapy and/or physical therapy students, and all sessions are closely supervised by licensed faculty clinicians to ensure safe, high-quality treatment.

How do I make an appointment?

To make an appointment, please call our clinic at (252) 744-6243. After your first visit, future appointments will be scheduled at the end of each session.

Do I need an appointment?

Patients are only seen by appointment. No walk-ins.

Is there parking available at the clinic?

Yes. There is clinic parking outside of Laupus Library, and we will provide you with a parking pass at your first visit.

How often will I have therapy?

Scheduling can be dependent on specific patient needs; however, we typically schedule one-hour sessions once a week. If you are receiving both occupational and physical therapy, you may have two one-hour sessions.

Is there a limit on how many sessions I can attend?

While there is no limit on the number of sessions you can attend, the treating students will determine when discharge is appropriate for each patient.
